Dr. Edward Green received his undergraduate degrees from the University of South Dakota and his
medical degree from the University of Minnesota. After completing his internship in Pediatrics
at the University of Wisconsin, he went on to complete his residency in Pediatric Cardiology at
Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and his fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Fitzsimons
Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado.
After leaving the Armed Forces in 1992, Dr. Green established the Allergy Department at
Affiliated Community Medical Center in Willmar, where he practiced for seven years. He joined
SCMC's medical staff in November of 1999 and now heads SCMC's Allergy and Asthma Clinics. Dr.
Green provides services at Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, as well as at satellite
clinics in New London, Redwood Falls, Litchfield, Glenwood, Tracy, and Aitkin. He is a member
of SCMC's Board of Directors.
"I enjoy travel and the opportunity to meet and work with people from different communities,"
he says. "It is gratifying to see patients conquer their asthma and allergies and once again
enjoy their environment and activities without suffering from sneezes, wheezes and shortness of
breath."
In his spare time, Dr. Green's hobbies include reading, antiquing and yard work. He is also a
Civil War history buff and hopes one day to be involved in a reenactment. He and his wife,
Katherine, have four children.
Dr. Green is certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board
of Pediatrics. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and is
also a fellow in the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
